What do i do/where do i go when im trying to find the coach i am boarding at victoria coach station?
Im going to newport (wales) on wednesday morning by myself (im only 16) on a coach from victoria and im a bit confused what to do, if i have to check in or find the coach or something :S
Anyway any help will be useful, even if you tell me about your experiences at the coach station.

get to Victoria Coach Station at least half and hour before your coach is due to depart ... look at the electronic display board and look on the list for your coach ... they are listed alphabetically by final destination so you need to know where the coach is terminating (e.g. Swansea) ... then look for which departure gate it is going from ... the departure gate is a door through to the parking area in the middle of the coach station and above the door the next coach(es) to depart from that gate will be listed on the electronic board above the door ... go to the gate listed on the electronic board and sit or stand near to it ... about 20-30 minutes before departure your coach will pull into the coach station and park somewhere near to the departure gate ... about 15 minutes before departure the door will be opened and a member of staff will call the people to come through ... you go over to the coach and form a queue ... one at a time you show your ticket to the driver and he will take bulky items of luggage from you and stow them into the luggage hold under the coach ... you are only allowed to take one small item of hand baggage inside the coach so have stuff you want on the journey separate from your suitcase ... when he is stowing the luggage the driver will put all the items for a particular destination together so for heavens sake don't change your mind about where you want to get off the coach or he will have a total hissy fit ... at each destination on the route the driver gets the luggage for that place out and you collect your suitcases or bags
by the way you're not allowed hot food or drink inside the coach ... but do make sure you have some cold drinks and snacks with you ... and go to the toilet before you start because the toilets on the coach are far from the nicest things in this world, trying to use the cramped loo on a jolting swaying coach is one of life's little mysteries best left unexplored
and if you have a fairly standard looking suitcase tie something (a ribbon or name tag) onto the handle ... my daughter went off with someone else's suitcase once
