this kind of optical do I get for my Sig 552?
I recently found a SIG 552 in .22 LR on sale for $ 430 So I went ahead and he got since I missed one along the more time it came with 30 x2 mags.so round anyway, I want to get some kind of optical for her, but I am able to decide on the UN. suggestions? i will be target shooting from 25 meters and 75 meters on average and is in .22 LR. I want to keep the cost of optics in the cost of the gun please. thank you!
I have a Sig 522 as well. I can not leave my wife at the beach. Like you, I did not want an expensive ACOG, Aimpoint or EOTech of .22. My position is that I do not look stretched on the standard 0.22 Tactical research Sig 522. I tried a couple of low-end red dots and reviewed the ones I like on Amazon. The one that really surprise, was a NCSTAR. I found it under two different names, including iTAC. I have both a iTAC and NCSTAR (Amazon link below). It is hard to beat $ 33 for a good red with a mount point. It has not moved on my 522 and the battery life seems great. He has four reticles different and brightness adjustment. This is the view that more money would predict. I am also Burris-like an ACOG (second link below). He was equally well to NCSTAR but $ 100 more and is still a 1X red dot. If you want to compare the ACOG go ahead. It has a quality feel and I've had nothing but good luck with Burris. It is now on my Stag AR 6.8mm and did not mind kick just over the 0 .223 - let alone a .22. It felt like a show that NCSTAR serious, but hey, I shoot a Reflex Trijicon (another good option but expensive) on one of my IE and I do not think the reflex "smokes" the cheap NCSTAR. Finally, if you want to spend a little more and get a red chic dot you can acquire targets quickly, see the CMA Trijicon (below about $ 400), Comp ML3 Aimpoint or EOTech 55X series. These choices are better, IMHO, if you have an AR 5.56 mm or move a show from front to rear.
