My orchids have brown,large spots on the green leaves. What can I do to get rid of them?

Anybody out there knows the answer?

Cut the leaf back to healthy tissue, using a clean and sterile tool. Treat the cut surface with a good bactericide, ground cinnamon or even mouthwash.
Place the plant in a location with good air circulation - Your objective is to dry and seal the wound as quickly as possible.
